Category B Office Fit-Out
Category B Office Fit-Out — Occupier-Ready Workplaces, UK-Wide
Vantix Group delivers Category B fit-outs that take a blank-canvas office and turn it into a fully specified, branded workplace — ready for your team to move in and work from day one.
Category B fit-out is where the workplace is actually created. It's the phase that takes a blank-canvas office — whether that's a freshly completed Category A space or an existing office being refurbished — and turns it into a fully specified, branded environment that reflects how your organisation works and what it wants to communicate to the people who use it.
The quality of a Category B fit-out has a direct impact on how your team feels about coming to work, how clients and visitors perceive your business, and how efficiently the space functions day to day. A poorly designed or poorly executed Cat B fit-out creates friction — spaces that don't work for the people in them, finishes that look good in a render but wear badly in use, and a layout that made sense on paper but doesn't reflect how the team actually operates.
Vantix Group manages Category B fit-outs as a complete service. We coordinate the design process, manage all fit-out trades, and deliver a finished workplace that's ready for your team to move into. We work across the whole of the UK — whether your office is in London, a regional city, or a business park anywhere in between. You can see examples of completed Category B projects on our projects page.

What Category B Fit-Out Includes
A Category B fit-out covers everything that makes a space a workplace rather than a blank canvas. Partitioning and glazed screens create the room structure — meeting rooms, boardrooms, private offices, phone booths, and focus pods. Reception and front-of-house areas create the first impression. Kitchen and café breakout areas create the social infrastructure that makes a workplace function as a community rather than just a collection of desks.
Bespoke joinery — storage walls, reception desks, kitchen units, feature shelving — gives a fit-out its character and its practicality. AV and data infrastructure connects the space to the technology that makes it work. Feature lighting design creates the atmosphere that makes people want to be in the space. Flooring — whether carpet, LVT, timber, or a combination — defines the zones and the feel of each area.
Brand application and graphics bring the organisation's identity into the space — not just a logo on the wall, but a coherent visual language that runs through the whole fit-out. M&E second fix completes the mechanical and electrical installation started in the Category A phase. Furniture coordination ensures that the furniture specification works with the fit-out rather than against it.
For the base-build phase that precedes Category B, see our Category A office fit-out page. For the full office fit-out service covering both levels, see our office fit-out page.
